My motive in writing "Time to Stop Running" and "Bad Hare Days" was to highlight just how cruel and indefensible ALL blood sports are...not just hare coursing.

Have a look at this picture. It serves as a reminder of how intrinsically inhuman these so-called "recreations" can be: Almost the entire population of a Spanish town turn out to look at- and enjoy?- the spectacle of this tethered and tortured bull... All part of a so-called "cultural" event.

Was there even one person in the crowd who found this revolting...who had even a tiny bit of compassion for the animal?

Decent people everywhere need to unite to bring an end to blood sports, regardless of the excuses offered in defense of causing suffering to animals...sentient innocent beings who did nothing to deserve this horror.
