Students are permitted to register and bring their pets on campus as Emotional Support Animals, but it has come to our attention that Faculty and Staff are not authorized to do the same, or bring their pets, no matter how beloved they are by the students. Support animals are not covered by law, and it is up to individual organizations to decide their policy regarding them. Pets are scientifically known to be a key part of reducing stress and promoting a more efficient and happy work environment. Our Faculty and Staff allow us Scotties to thrive, learn, and explore who we are on campus. It is essential that this policy be reconsidered to include Faculty and Staff, as pets help support professors, and professors help support us. 

We, the undersigned, urge you to support this petition to amend the current policy to allow Faculty and Staff to bring their pets onto Agnes Scott College's Campus.
