The Issue

We, the undersigned, are writing to bring to your attention a matter of utmost importance regarding the current workload burden of partner visas on Amman's processing office. We understand the complexities involved in the visa processing procedures and the significance of efficient and fair processing for all applicants. However, it has come to our attention that the current workload on Amman's processing office has resulted in prolonged processing times, causing distress and uncertainty for visa applicants and their families.

Processing office in Amman currently manages visa services for: the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Yemen, Iran, Iraq, Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, Cyprus, Egypt, Algeria, Tunisia, Sudan, Morocco, Libya Pakistan and Afghanistan (as per the Australian immigration website)

We acknowledge the challenges faced by immigration authorities in handling a vast number of visa applications, but we firmly believe that the well-being of applicants and the integrity of the immigration process can be better served by alleviating the burden on Amman's processing office and redistributing the case loads to other processing offices.

The following points highlight the urgency of this petition:

-Unreasonable Processing Delays: Applicants have been experiencing significant delays in visa processing times at Amman's processing office in comparison to other processing offices (even if it is within the lengthy unreasonable global processing time). This has led to hardships, disruptions in career and educational opportunities, and emotional strain for individuals and their families.
-Inequitable Distribution: We have observed that some other processing offices are experiencing more manageable workloads and processing applications within a reasonable timeframe. This raises concerns about the equitable distribution of cases and highlights the potential for a more balanced allocation across different offices.
-Transparency and Trust: An equitable distribution of case loads among processing offices would enhance transparency and reinforce public trust in the immigration system. It would demonstrate a commitment to treating all applicants fairly and efficiently, regardless of the processing office responsible for their application.
Therefore, we respectfully request the following actions to be taken:

  • Conduct a thorough review of the current workload distribution among processing offices to identify areas of imbalance.
  • Implement measures to redistribute the case loads more evenly, considering the capacity and resources of each processing office.
  • Allocate additional resources and personnel to Amman's processing office temporarily, if necessary, to address the existing backlog and ensure a more efficient processing of applications.
  • Regularly monitor and evaluate the performance of processing offices to maintain consistency and fairness in visa processing.

We, the undersigned, firmly believe that addressing these concerns will not only improve the overall efficiency of the visa processing system but also demonstrate the commitment of Australia to provide a welcoming and supportive environment for immigrants.

We trust that you will consider this petition seriously and take the necessary steps to alleviate the workload on Amman, Jordan office and ensure a more equitable distribution of case loads across processing offices.

Thank you for your attention to this matter. We look forward to a positive response and a favorable resolution to this pressing issue.
