We, the undersigned advocates for justice, write this petition to express our collective concern regarding the alleged hypocrisy of Arslan Hidayat, the program manager of Campaign for Uyghurs with respect to his position on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. 

It has come to our attention that Arslan may be holding views or engaging in actions inconsistent with the principles of fairness and equality that are expected from public figures who wield influence and shape public opinion. 

At first he declared support for the Palestine on Twitter on October 5th, but 5 days later he switched his support to the Israel and issued a so-called apology. Ironically, he stands by the Palestine again right now. 

While we recognize the right to free speech and differing opinions, it is crucial that public figures should have a responsibility to foster an environment conducive to open dialogue and understanding, and demonstrate a commitment to promoting justice, especially on issues as complex and sensitive as the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Hypocrisy and shaky stance could undermine the credibility of Arslan and Campaign for Uyghurs, and may contribute to the perpetuation of biased narratives that hinder the pursuit of a peaceful resolution to this longstanding conflict.

We call on Campaign for Uyghurs to conduct a thorough and impartial investigation into Arslan Hidayat’s hypocrisy position on Israeli-Palestinian conflict. This investigation should aim to determine whether Arslan has demonstrated any form of bias in their public statements, actions, or associations related to the conflict.

Moreover, we urge Campaign for Uyghurs to make the findings of this investigation public to ensure transparency and accountability. If it is determined that Arslan has indeed compromised the commitment to fairness and justice, we expect appropriate measures to be taken, which may include public clarification, educational initiatives, or any other actions deemed necessary to rectify the situation.

It is our belief that addressing concerns about potential hypocrisy is vital to maintaining public trust, and we believe that Campaign for Uyghurs will uphold the values of transparency and accountability in addressing any perceived inconsistencies in Arslan's stance on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
