As of this afternoon, we've had over 310 community members sign our petition! But, our work is nowhere near over. 

New data shows that 22% of new cases in Chester County in the last seven days were in kids and teens. (https://www.chesco.org/DocumentCenter/View/60838/Monitoring-and-Protecting-Green)

• Covid-19 cases among US children and teens jumped 84% in ONE week.
• As of Tuesday, an average of 192 children with Covid-19 were admitted to US hospitals every day over the past week, per the CDC, a 45.7% increase from the previous week in daily new hospitalizations among Covid-19 patients ages 0 to 17.

So, those are pretty strong rebuttals to those who say that COVID isn't affecting children and teens.  (Here are some more sobering facts - https://www.cnn.com/2021/08/07/health/children-covid-19-protection/index.html)

We hate having to share these stats on a beautiful Saturday afternoon as much as you hate reading them. But, time is of the essence. The school board is most likely meeting this week to discuss plans for the year and every signature on this petition counts. 

What can you do? 

• Share this petition with anyone and everyone who is concerned about the health and safety of our children and community. 
• Enlist your pediatrician and other local doctors to generate support for the petition.
