We need our community to continue showing up throughout this case. With this case, we will be setting precedent and precedent is needed for real lasting change. 

✔ NEXT STEP: 

The pretrial hearing in the case against George Gebran has been rescheduled for May 20 at 9:00 AM at the Ada County Courthouse. While pretrial hearings are procedural and members of the public typically do not speak, a respectful courtroom presence still matters.

At the last hearing, the turnout from the community sent a powerful message: people are paying attention, and this case will not simply be forgotten.

Now we need that same energy again.

We are asking supporters to:

✔ Attend peacefully and respectfully on May 20 

✔ Continue sharing the petition and educating others 

✔ Encourage accountability and meaningful consequences under Idaho law 

✔ Prepare for future opportunities to submit impact statements if the case proceeds 

This case has deeply affected many people throughout the Treasure Valley. For many, it represents more than one incident & it has become a broader conversation about how intentional animal cruelty is treated and whether stronger protections are needed.
