In response to advocacy for Palestine and Israel’s genocide of Gaza, billboards are being put up to suppress advocacy and encourage complicity in the genocide.

 With messages like “We stand with Israel” and “Hamas is your Problem too”, they paint activists in a bad light. Palestinian advocacy is about bringing awareness to:

-          Israeli violations of Palestinian human rights

-          The need for a ceasefire and humanitarian aid in Gaza

-          Israeli Lobbying and control of US government

Yet, these billboards are antagonistic to any meaningful solution. They're trying to turn the public eye away from reality:

-          31,000 Palestinians murdered by Israel

-          Israel’s criminal siege and starvation of Gaza’s population

-          Widespread famine and disease in Gaza

They also promote hate crimes in the U.S:

October 14, 2023: A 6-year-old Palestinian boy was stabbed to death

November 25, 2023: 3 men were shot because they were Arab and wearing a Palestinian Keffiyeh 

Retaliation by employers is also alarming. The Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) is fielding countless complaints of people being fired or facing workplace backlash because of their Pro-Palestinian stances.
