Respected Sir/Madam,

We, the students of Grade 9 following the CBSE curriculum, wish to raise concern regarding the delayed release of the NCERT Grade 9 Part 2 Social Science and Mathematics textbooks. Even Part 1 of Social Science was released only in late July, leaving students with limited time to access and study the prescribed material.

The Government and its educational institutions have a responsibility to maintain accountability and transparency. When essential educational resources are delayed, students deserve clear information about the reason for the delay and a definite timeline for their release. The absence of timely communication makes it difficult for students and schools to plan their academic year effectively.

The delay has also affected students' academic preparation. Students need sufficient time not only to complete chapters but also to read, understand, revise, and become familiar with the new textbooks. Receiving books late can compress the available study time and affect the quality of learning.

We therefore request NCERT to:

Provide a clear timeline for the release of the pending textbooks.

Communicate the reasons for delays transparently.

Take steps to prevent similar delays in future.

Consider the academic time lost by students while planning the syllabus and assessments.

We hope NCERT will acknowledge these concerns and ensure that students receive their prescribed learning resources with sufficient time to study them effectively.
