Thank you nearly 1,300 people who have signed the petition, shared and to those who have shared their personal experiences with CSWR/Magnolia Water in the petition comments. (Note: please sign only ONCE per person to ensure the integrity of this petition.)
We understand that people are frustrated and feel like efforts to change the situation are futile. But that is not the case. Media scrutiny is increasing, and we have faith that collectively, all of these efforts can and will make a difference.
This petition, and individual and collective NOTICES OF PROTEST and MOTIONS TO INTERVENE have been filed and are listed in Public Service Commission documents on both Dockets U-37570 (requesting 2025 increases) and U-35784 (requesting extension of FRP for increases in 2026-2028.)
Dockets are available for viewing via these links. Note that nearly two dozen Magnolia Water Customers (Including St. Tammany Parish Councilman Arthur Laughlin) have been named as Intervenors to protest via both dockets.

A judge has been assigned to the first Docket: https://lpscpubvalence.lpsc.louisiana.gov/portal/PSC/ViewFile?fileId=WIvl74miekg%3D, which states that in the event the parties are unable to resolve all disputes by September 1, 2025, any party may request in writing that a status conference be scheduled in this proceeding.

What other recourses remain available in the future, if necessary?
1. A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT against CSWR/Magnolia Water for their failure to consistently deliver clean, safe, reliable and affordable water. Similar efforts in other states CSWR serves have seen successful responses.
2. A STATEWIDE RECALL EFFORT for the Louisiana Public Service Commissioners' failure to represent the constituents who elected them to represent us. (Of course, those who stand up for the constituents will be excluded in the recall efforts.)
While achieving success in recall efforts can be a challenge, the efforts themselves become critical. Opponents of those seeking re-election or continued political careers once termed out of LPSC office can cite these efforts, and the lack of constituent support, as reasons voters should reject them. Commissioners need to recognize that their constituents will no longer remain silent if we are not adequately represented.
A final note: Just as CSWR cases in other states have proven invaluable toward researching this company and its questionable business practices and subpar services, our efforts could help pave the way for CSWR customers in other states to stand up as well.
That’s why our efforts matter.
