Cadishead Way, a crucial road in our community, has become a significant concern for residents due to numerous potholes. These road imperfections have been reported for over a month, yet no action has been taken by Salford Council. As a result, the situation is deteriorating rapidly, posing serious safety risks to motorists and pedestrians alike.  Nearby houses on the Hayes Green Estate have reported their houses have been shaking when large vehicles drive over the holes so this is also potentially a structural issue now too.

Potholes are not just a minor inconvenience; they have far-reaching consequences. Vehicles suffer from damages that lead to costly repairs, and more importantly, they jeopardize the safety of everyone on the road. According to a report by the RAC, pothole-related breakdowns in the UK have risen by 37% in the last year alone. This trend is alarming and underscores the urgent need to address road maintenance issues promptly.

Cadishead Way is an essential route for residents, businesses, and emergency services. The longer these potholes remain unaddressed, the greater the risk of accidents and damage. Many community members have already experienced near misses and vehicle damage, highlighting the pressing need for Salford Council to take immediate action.
