PETITION OPPOSING ZONING CHANGE AT 849 LONG ISLAND AVENUE, DEER PARK, SUFFOLK COUNTY, NY, 11729 - PB JOB NUMBER: 24-51-AE

Public Hearing Date:

July 28th, 2025 at 7:00 PM and May 13th, 2026 3:00pm

Location: Babylon Town Hall, 200 East Sunrise Highway, Lindenhurst

We, the undersigned residents and surrounding community members of Deer Park, Town of Babylon, strongly oppose the proposed zoning change for the property located at 849 Long Island Avenue Deer Park, Suffolk County, NY 11729 from its current zoning of E-Business and C Residence to G - Industry.

This change threatens the integrity of our neighborhoods, increases the risk of environmental concerns, and undermines the balance between residential and commercial interests in our town. We urge the Town Board to reject this proposal and preserve our community’s safety, character, property values, and long-term livability.

We respectfully request that the Town of Babylon maintain the current zoning designation and prioritize responsible planning that serves the interests of its residents.
