Time for the Environmental Assessment?

Dear neighbors,
Happy 4th of July!
Over ten adult riders at the annual 4th of July Bike Parade on Lomond today took the petition info today to review/sign/share. Many thanks! ! We are now at 291 signatures! Please continue to share the petition with your neighbor networks, local church groups, and clubs. We need public responses to ensure that the proper environmental assessments will be completed to protect our homes, Shaker's historic heritage, and environment. This project turned into something that affects the "human environment" thus the city's Categorical Exclusion (CATEX) granted by the EPA to avoid environmental studies no longer applies.
It has not happened yet, but loss of the CATEX will trigger the Environmental Assessment or Environmental Impact Statement residents deserve. We insist the City of Shaker Heights conduct those studies so the SSO project team can select an appropriate (rather than prohibited) plan of action.
It takes strong leadership for a public servant such as the mayor and city council members to adapt when situations change. We encourage the city leadership to pause for these studies as much as they will be required now. We will then know - who Are the leaders?
Thank you all again for supporting the cause and staying with this! Stay cool.
