Petition: make the documentary "NAZA" widely viewable in the US before November elections
The Issue
This petition is a request to producers of the documentary "NAZA" that they bring broader distribution of the movie to US viewers before the US Election in early November, 2026.
In practical terms, it is a request that the producers of the film consider one or both of these pathways:
- establish a streaming pathway and price for viewers to see the documentary before the election. (Since the documentary is still in theaters, perhaps bill the same amount as is billed in the theaters).
- Expedite (even more quickly than had been planned) the distribution of the film to a much wider array of traditional US movie theaters, art houses, and film festivals in the next weeks.
Background:
The term "Naza" is apparently a Hebrew word referring to collateral deaths..... deaths of unarmed civilians killed in the process of a military attack on the enemy. Judging by the trailer and reviews, the documentary "NAZA" presents interviews with Israel Defense Forces (IDF) members who appear to reveal that they have killed quite a few more civilians than were needed. This sounds like it could be prosecuted as a war crime. The Guardian, a UK news source which is one of the producers of this documentary, has helpfully offered to allow the documentary to be streamed from its website in late November. Yet, this will not at all be in time for the US election. Some US voters (particularly those who do not have time to follow the issues closely) may not have the benefit of the information in this documentary when they go to research where the candidates as far as continuing to send financial and weapons support to Israel.
So, this petition is created in an effort to over-communicate with the producers and distributors of the film to help them understand that widespread distribution in the US (or by streaming) before the US election could be somewhat helpful.
This petition is very time sensitive and will likely be closed as of the US election.
The author of this petition has not yet had the opportunity to see the documentary, and is necessarily going by the trailer, reviews, articles outside the US, etc.
