Hello Petitioners, After several months, the Town of Huntington is moving forward with review of the Villadom Mall Development at Mediavilla Orchards. A date has been set - Wednesday, June 22nd, 2016 @ 7:00 PM - for the Planning Department to hold a hearing to alter Huntington's Comprehensive Plan. The plan designates the Mediavilla Orchard as an area of NON-development, but Mediavilla and developer Torkan want to change it to large scale commercial to allow for mall construction. Now is the time to gather ourselves to fight this project! We need as many people as possible who are opposed to mall development to come to town hall on Wednesday, June 22nd at 7:00 PM to either. We need visibility, and with over 800 signatures, we know we can have a large and powerful presence at this hearing. As a resident of Huntington you have a right for your voice to be heard. You can speak at a hearing (3 minute max) and/or join us as a unified, large group presence with signs. Will you join us at the hearing?
