Let More People in Illinois Legally Use Medical Cannabis
The Illinois Compassionate Use of Medical Cannabis Act was passed to help seriously ill people obtain relief from debilitating medical conditions.
Late last year the state's Medical Cannabis Advisory Board, following a thorough review of scientific evidence, approved eight new medical conditions for inclusion in the program: Osteoarthritis, various types of chronic pain, autism, IBS, panic disorders, diabetes and PTSD.
Now the state Department of Public Health is considering whether to adopt the board's recommendations and grant the opportunity for legal relief to millions of Illinoisans suffering from these conditions. A decision is expected by the end of this month.
Please sign the petition encouraging Illinois officials to do the right thing and allow suffering residents of Illinois to gain access to the relief that the medical cannabis program was intended to provide.
- Director - Illinois Department Of Public Health
Dr. Nirav Shah
Please adopt the Medical Cannabis Advisory Board's recommendation to add osteoarthritis, various types of chronic pain, autism, IBS and PTSD as approved conditions under the Illinois Compassionate Use of Medical Cannabis Act.
