We, the undersigned registered voters of the Sunland Tujunga community, veterans, friends and neighbors request the removal of the prohibitive cost of the July 4th parade permit commemorating our 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence establishing the United States of America.

The July 4th parade has been a tradition in the Sunland-Tujunga community for over 50 years bringing our community together, honoring our veterans who have served and sacrificed their lives to defend freedom and democracy, teaching our children our American values, tradition, and our way of life.

Without your help and assistance, we may not be able to have a parade this year to commemorate the major milestone of America's founding and celebrate 250 years of democracy and freedom, encouraging civic participation and inspiring pride and Americanism.
