Petition Statement 

We, the undersigned, respectfully call on the Home Office of the United Kingdom to grant Aimé EYENGUÉ a residence permit that enables him to continue his lawful studies at Royal Holloway, University of London, in accordance with his fundamental human rights, including his right to private and family life, as protected under Articles 7 and 8 of the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR), which the United Kingdom has ratified. 

Aimé EYENGUÉ began his undergraduate studies in Geography at Royal Holloway on 22 September 2025 and has been fully integrated into his academic programme. He entered the United Kingdom as a minor, along with his younger sister, and was received by his British uncle.  Both are French nationals, and Aimé has obtained a British A-Level qualification, granting him lawful access to higher education. 
 
We assert that any administrative action that prevents him from completing his studies would constitute: 

1. Disproportionate interference with his private and family life, in violation of Articles 7 and 8 of the ECHR. 

2. Unlawful discrimination, as he has the same academic qualifications as other students of his age yet faces barriers to education due solely to administrative delays. 

3. Obstruction of his lawful right to education, threatening his future career prospects and the completion of his three-year undergraduate program. 

Aimé EYENGUÉ has already taken all necessary steps to resolve the situation through the courts, filing an urgent application to the Royal Court to compel the Home Office to fulfil its legal obligations and provide the required immigration status. However, continued delays or refusal would unfairly jeopardise his academic future and violate his rights under international human rights law.

We, the undersigned, urge the Home Office to: 

1. Immediately grant Aimé EYENGUÉ a residence permit, in recognition of his fundamental rights and his integration into UK society.

2. Ensure that he may continue his studies without interruption, maintaining his enrolment at Royal Holloway University.

3. Uphold the principles of non-discrimination, fairness, and the protection of minors who entered the UK in circumstances beyond their control.

We declare our support for Aimé EYENGUÉ and call on all stakeholders, including academic institutions, human rights organisations, and political representatives, to support this petition in the interest of justice, equality, and the right to education. 
 
NO to discrimination and the cancellation of education. 
YES to the fundamental right to study and pursue a lawful academic career.

About Aimé EYENGUÉ

Aimé EYENGUÉ is a committed student, aspiring scholar, and former A-Level graduate of a UK public school. He resides in the UK with his British uncle and sister, has begun his undergraduate studies at Royal Holloway University, and seeks only to pursue his education lawfully and uninterrupted, as his peers are able to do.
