DMS is a community provider for high quality Montessori education for many families in Hastings County. It provides not just education but a nurturing environment for young minds.

In Hastings County, families are facing a severe shortage of affordable childcare spaces.

A key support for reducing financial burden for childcare, has been relying on the CWELCC subsidy. CWELCC is also commonly also referred to as the $10-a-day daycare subsidy program.

Unfortunately, without adequate funded spaces, many parents are forced to make tough decisions between selecting quality licensed childcare and financial constraints. It’s heartbreaking to see our community struggle with limited availability of affordable high quality childcare.

This is why we're urging the Ontario government to approve CWELCC funding for DMS Montessori immediately. This funding would significantly reduce childcare costs for families in the community, ensuring that our children have access to the education they need and deserve.
We urge the decision-making agencies to act quickly and prioritize the needs of families in Hastings County.
