In response to the recent unacceptable social media post shared by Williams Lake Mayor Walt Cobb diminishing the impacts of Residential Schools on previous and current generations, we the undersigned, in solidarity with the Williams Lake First Nation and the Tsilhqot’in National Government, call on Walt Cobb to resign as Mayor of Williams Lake.
Failing that, we call on all the members of Williams Lake City Council to remove Walt Cobb from all his committee appointments, thereby holding him accountable for his wrongful and damaging views.
