Dear GMUSD Board and community members,

I am writing to express the concerns of a significant number of individuals who have lost confidence in the leadership and performance of Deb Brown, GMUSD Board Chair. As members of this school community, we believe it is imperative to address these concerns by initiating a vote of no confidence in Deb Brown.

Over the past few meetings, Deb Brown's actions and decisions have raised serious doubts about her ability to effectively fulfill the duties and responsibilities associated with her position. These concerns have been amplified by the detrimental impact on our GMUSD community and students, leading to a sense of frustration and dissatisfaction among its community and some board members.

Several key issues have come to our attention, which have prompted us to initiate this petition:

Inadequate Leadership: Deb Brown's leadership style has proven to be ineffective, leading to a decline in morale and motivation among members. Her inability to inspire and guide the GMUSD Board and community has resulted in missed opportunities and a lack of progress.

Poor Communication: Effective communication is essential for maintaining a cohesive and informed community. Unfortunately, Deb Brown has failed to communicate effectively, leaving many members feeling uninformed and excluded from important discussions and decisions.

Failure to Address Concerns: Despite repeated attempts by concerned members to address their grievances with Deb Brown, she has consistently neglected or dismissed their concerns. This dismissive attitude has further eroded confidence in her leadership.

In light of these issues, we, the undersigned members of the GMUSD Community, hereby petition for a vote of no confidence in Deb Brown. We believe that it is essential for the GMUSD to reassess its leadership and take the necessary steps to restore trust and effectiveness.

We request that you acknowledge and review this petition promptly, and take the appropriate measures to address our concerns in a fair and impartial manner. A vote of no confidence would provide an opportunity for the GMUSD Board to elect new leadership that can restore trust, foster open communication, and drive positive change.
