We, the undersigned, call for the immediate resignation of Thomas Bach from his position as President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC). Our demand is rooted in a series of actions and decisions that have undermined the values and principles that the Olympic Games and the IOC are meant to uphold.

Under Mr. Bach's leadership, the IOC has repeatedly faced criticism for its lack of transparency in decision-making processes. Key decisions have been made without sufficient public scrutiny or stakeholder consultation. This opaque work undermines the democratic principles that should guide international sporting organizations. We insist that all decisions should be made by the NOCs and IFs, who are at the very heart of any sport, and remain as key stakeholders of the IOC. 

The tenure of Thomas Bach has been marred by numerous ethical controversies and has been associated with actions that compromise the integrity of the Olympic movement. These issues have eroded public trust in the IOC and tarnished the reputation of the Games.

The IOC's approach under Thomas Bach has exhibited glaring double standards regarding wars and conflicts. While condemning certain conflicts, the IOC has inconsistently applied its principles, choosing to ignore or minimize the impact of other wars on athletes and countries. This selective outrage not only contradicts the IOC's stated commitment to peace and neutrality but also alienates nations and athletes affected by these conflicts. Such inconsistency in policy and rhetoric undermines the credibility of the IOC and fails to provide a unified moral stance on issues of global significance.

Athletes are the heart of the Olympic Games, yet Thomas Bach's administration has often prioritized political and commercial interests over the well-being of athletes. Numerous reports on conditions at the Olympic village in Paris 2024 and luxurious hotels the IOC is accommodated in, are only a small part of that. 

Add to that scandalous opening ceremony in Paris where the Olympic flag was turned upside-down and millions of believers were humiliated by the performance. The disrespect to people’s culture and values is impossible to hide now.  

The IBA conducted a comprehensive review of the existing criteria for women’s boxing events, and two individuals, Imane Khelif and Lin Yu-ting were deemed ineligible. The IOC allows them to compete in the Olympic boxing tournament. The bottom line is that the IOC allows men to compete against women. The whole world stands against this, yet the IOC pretend it is normal. They speak about gender equality while destroying women’s boxing.

The IOC stands at a crossroads, facing challenges that require bold and decisive leadership to navigate. To restore faith in the organization's governance and renew the Olympic spirit, it is essential that the IOC undergoes significant reforms. This cannot happen under the current leadership, which has become synonymous with controversy and stagnation.

For these reasons, we, the undersigned, call for the immediate resignation of Thomas Bach as President of the International Olympic Committee. The IOC requires new leadership committed to transparency, ethical governance, fair chance, and the true spirit of the Olympic Games. We believe that only through such a change can the IOC regain the trust and respect of the global community and continue to inspire future generations through sport.
