Petition for supermarket bosses to share profits from COVID-19 outbreak with workers

The Issue

Supermarkets will be making huge profits from the COVID-19 crisis. They have an obligation to reward the workers keeping their shops and delivery services running. These people are on the front lines, stocking shelves, cleaning stores and potentially exposing themselves to the virus in order to serve the British public. These are the people who ensure that we can get what we need to survive this crisis.

The average wage for a UK supermarket worker is between £6 and £10 per hour. A large portion of those workers are on zero-hours contracts. Last year, Tesco's CEO took home £4.9 million.

Please sign this petition if you think profits made from the COVID-19 outbreak should be shared with supermarket workers who are on the frontline of this crisis.
