The Issue
The students and parents of Brookfield are trying to express our concerns about recent technology changes for the new school year (25-26) .
These changes affect students’ learning, equity, and families’ financial responsibilities.
In the town of Brookfield, Connecticut, students and their families have been upcharged 33% for renting Chromebook's this year. Which not only is a significant jump for many families (especially for some with many students) . Not only that but students now are not able to use devices from home.
What we ask ...
We ask that BPS (brookfield public schools) can lower the rental prices of the Chromebook's and can allow home devices again.
