Lawrence County, TN has approximately 10 plus injury-accidents and/or fatalities on the Highway 64 East corridor between Highway 43 and Pulaski Highway intersection each year. This is due in part to driver error in some instances but mostly due to the engineering and lack of stop lights. In surveying surrounding areas that have similar roadways, the cut across paths are either not directly in line with the roadway across the main highway or there are stop lights. The Highway 64 roadway in Giles County has many stop lights that aid in preventing collisions. It is time for Lawrence County to make this roadway safer.
