We, the undersigned residents of Morgan Drive and Constellation Way, respectfully request the installation of speed humps and additional traffic safety measures in our neighborhood.

Over time, vehicle speeds on Morgan Drive and Constellation Way have increased significantly. Drivers are frequently traveling well above the posted speed limit, creating dangerous conditions for pedestrians, families, and especially the many children who live and play in our neighborhood.

Recently, there was a fatality on our block due to speeding and unsafe driving. This tragic incident has heightened our concerns and underscores the urgent need for traffic calming measures.

In addition to speeding, unsafe parking along both sides of the street has created blind spots and limited visibility for drivers, pedestrians, and cyclists. These conditions further increase the risk of accidents.

The installation of speed humps would:

Reduce vehicle speeds
Improve pedestrian safety
Increase driver awareness
Minimize the risk of future accidents
Enhance overall neighborhood safety
 

Our goal is not to inconvenience drivers but to create a safer environment for residents, visitors, and especially our children.

We respectfully request that the City/HOA conduct a traffic study and move forward with the installation of speed humps and any additional appropriate safety measures as soon as possible.
