The Smithsonian currently has an alpha build of Microsoft's obscure 3D Movie Maker from 1995. I got to know about this through a well known tech Twitter user by the name of @foone who made countless efforts on making software to 3DMM and also was the sole reason why 3DMM got open-sourced back in May 2022.

Since 2022, I have been giving E-mails and DMs to the Smithsonian Museum to give us the build of 3DMM that had been handed to them by Microsoft. I know that some of the people in archive.org (@internetarchive) would kill to have that. Foone archived an another build of 3DMM back in 2013-14 and it was a build from September 1995, shortly before the release of the game as it was released with the release of Windows 95.

More on archiving the CD of that 1994 alpha build. It is always welcoming to see more leaked/cutting room floor content on 3DMM. We're all blessed alone the fact that the source got released in GitHub, but there has hardly been any activity.
