We, the undersigned, are urgently calling for enhanced safety measures at the Moonwalker Trail bus stop in Sunfield to protect our children. Every day, our kids face dangerous conditions while waiting for school buses, as they must cross busy streets without proper warning signs or designated crossing areas. Many drivers are not stopping for school buses, further endangering our young ones.

As a parent with a son currently in middle school and another child joining next year, I have witnessed firsthand the precarious situation our children endure. Our kids are forced to navigate hazardous crossings—almost like playing a real-life game of 'Frogger'—which should never be a necessity for any child. The lack of clear safety measures not only puts their daily routines at risk but also sets a dangerous precedent for the future of our community's youth.

We call on the City of Buda and Hays Transportation to take immediate action by:

Installing clearly visible safety signs at the bus stop.
Implementing designated crossing zones to help guide our children safely.
Enforcing stricter traffic control measures during school hours to ensure that vehicles yield to school buses.
It is our collective responsibility to safeguard the well-being of our children. We believe that with prompt action, we can transform this bus stop into a secure environment that reflects the care and commitment of our community.
