We, the residents of Clifton and neighbors of Knollcroft Park, respectfully request the City of Clifton to consider making improvements to the playground area at Knollcroft Park.

Knollcroft Park is a beloved neighborhood park and a vital space for our children and families to play, gather, and enjoy the outdoors. Unfortunately, the playground equipment has fallen into disrepair, with significant rust and wear that pose clear safety hazards to children.

In addition to unsafe equipment, the park suffers from chronic flooding during and after rainstorms. Large areas around the playground remain waterlogged for days, making it impossible for children to safely use the playground. This standing water also creates a breeding ground for mosquitoes, which increases the risk of mosquito-borne illnesses and makes the park unpleasant and unsafe for families to enjoy. Pooled water can also attract pests, contribute to mold and bacteria growth, and damage the soil and grass, further degrading the park’s condition.

We, the undersigned, respectfully urge the City of Clifton to:

Inspect and repair or replace the aging playground equipment
Address the drainage and flooding issues to prevent standing water
Implement long-term improvements to ensure Knollcroft Park remains a safe, healthy, and accessible place for everyone
Knollcroft Park is an important asset to our neighborhood, and we believe every child deserves a clean, safe, and dry place to play.
