We are calling for urgent action to protect women and girls from counterfeit, unsafe, and substandard menstrual products.

 

There are growing concerns about menstrual products that may cause itching, burning, irritation, rashes, sores, and other uncomfortable reactions. While these symptoms can have different causes, suspected unsafe or counterfeit products must be properly investigated.

 

Menstrual hygiene products are essential, not a luxury. Every woman and girl deserves access to products that are genuine, safe, properly regulated, and fit for use.

 

We call on the relevant authorities to:

 

- Strengthen monitoring of menstrual products in the market.

- Investigate and remove confirmed counterfeit or unsafe products.

- Hold responsible manufacturers and distributors accountable where violations are established.

- Make it easier for consumers to report harmful products and adverse reactions.

- Increase public awareness about menstrual product safety.

 

Our periods should never put our health at risk.
