We demanded an end to the reckless, generalized narratives that unfairly linked an entire historical ethnic group to extremist, anti-government ideologies like the "sovereign citizen movement."While our immediate appeal was aimed at correcting these damaging misclassifications, the broader national landscape has shifted in a powerful way. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) recently made the formal decision to completely sever its ties with the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), explicitly citing concerns over the organization's partisan methods, its tracking maps, and the targeting of faith-based communities.To be absolutely clear: we do not claim that our specific petition directly caused the FBI’s administrative decision. However, there is no denying that our collective voices—alongside the unified, tireless contributions of fellow religious and faith communities standing up against biased profiling—served as a powerful force in the shifting tide. This is a monumental victory for truth, religious freedom, and the entire Moorish community.Because we have reached this historic turning point, we are officially closing this petition account.
