Julian has asked me to respond on his behalf as I directly oversee naming proposals and the relationship with GNV here at the City of Melbourne. 

While Council's position remains unchanged, having regard to the Naming Rules for places in Victoria which is the statutory framework for Place Naming, and the advice received from Geographic Names Victoria (GNV), we appreciate your ongoing interest in the proposal and community.

We would be happy to meet with you to explain the matter further and provide additional context regarding the Councill’s position and decision-making process. We will also contact GNV to determine whether they are available to participate in the discuss.
