Do you believe that the votes of all people should count? The National Coalition for Prisoner's Rights does, and we are submitting this Petition to abolish the restriction of the voting rights in Federal elections. Currently, certain states do not allow some marginalized groups, including those who are incarcerated, to be heard via their vote. We submit this petition to demand the utilization of constitutional rights to vote, for all people. As one of the formerly incarcerated people, I understand inexplicably the power of my voice and voting is one way that I share it.

Maintaining this unconstitutional practice prohibits the amplification of voices that are currently being silenced in our voting practices. 

The time to act is NOW as we advocate for the people whose voices must be heard.

If you understand the difference of private rights and public "privileges", we can advocate for the release of prisoners.
