Petition for Mandatory Education for Children About Heinous Crimes and Personal Safety in
The Issue
We, concerned citizens of Bangladesh, urge the immediate introduction of structured school programs teaching children about heinous crimes, personal safety, and awareness.
In recent years there has been an increase of violence, abuse, and exploitation against women and children. Many victims fail to recognize dangers or seek help due to lack of early education. Silence, fear, and ignorance allow these crimes to continue.
Education is a powerful tool. Teaching children about personal boundaries, respect, safety, and harmful behaviour prepares them to protect themselves and others. Yet, schools in Bangladesh rarely offer clear, age-appropriate programs on these topics, leaving the youth in danger.
We respectfully call on authorities and the policymakers to protect future generations with nationwide programs. We propose:
1.Age-appropriate safety education in school curriculum on personal safety, boundaries, and recognising harm as well as safe, confidential school reporting systems for children.
2.Training for teachers and staff to educate responsibly and address abuse concerns.
3.National awareness campaigns with schools, communities, and parents on child protection and respect.
4.Parental education programs to reinforce safety at home.
Our aim is to prevent crimes through education, awareness, and empowerment, building a safer society. We urge government, schools, and organisations to act now. We hope that the concerned citizens of Bangladesh pay heed to our request and sign this petition to support education, awareness, and protection for children in Bangladesh.
