Despite explosive population growth along the waterfront on River Road, the Hudson County political machine has ignored these communities, creating barriers to voting instead of making it easier for people to make their voices heard. They are claiming that it is too late, but this issue has been brought up for years and the political bosses have conspired to disenfranchise the Waterfront.

That's why we are demanding the establishment of at least three new in-person polling places along River Road, as well as one early voting site, to meet the needs of residents in one of the county’s most densely populated and underserved areas.

We are demanding action now because every voter, regardless of where they live, deserves the opportunity to participate in this critical election. The Board of Elections must operate impartially and put the needs of residents ahead of political gamesmanship. We need polling places on River Road now!
