We, the undersigned, are committed members of the community who care deeply about the quality, safety, and accessibility of our local Parks and Recreation programs.

While we appreciate the efforts of the Parks and Recreation Department, we believe there are several important areas that need urgent attention. Ongoing issues such as inconsistent field maintenance, limited scheduling support, overlapping sports activities, and the absence of referees at games are impacting the experience for our children, families, and volunteers.

We are also concerned about safety hazards resulting from unkept fields, the lack of full handicap access across all facilities, and the need for improved communication and professionalism when working with parents and volunteers. Creating an environment that is respectful, inclusive, and safe for all community members should be a top priority.

Additionally, to help build transparency and trust, we respectfully request an independent review or audit of how funds allocated to the department are being used. This will help ensure that resources are being spent wisely and in ways that best serve our growing community.

We believe with better oversight, clearer communication, and thoughtful improvements, our Parks and Recreation system can be a source of pride for everyone.
