Dear Signatories,
I am writing to inform you that our petition for improved UoG degree certificates has been officially submitted to the University Secretariat. With over 2000 signatures gathered from students, alumni, and faculty; this petition stands as a testament to the collective desire for reform within our university community.
It's important to recognize that this petition is entirely student-led, highlighting the grassroots nature of this movement and the authentic desire for change. As such, I am hopeful that the university will carefully consider this matter and listen to the voices of its students.
Your support and advocacy have been instrumental in bringing this issue to the forefront, and I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for your participation in this important endeavor.
As we move forward, I am committed to ensuring that our voices continue to be heard throughout the deliberation process. To this end, I am actively pushing to be involved in the discussions by the Senate’s Honors and Awards Committee, which will review this petition. The committee is scheduled to convene in late May. By participating in these deliberations, I aim to advocate for the implementation of the proposed updates to the UoG Degree Certificate and ensure that the wishes of all signatories are duly considered.
I understand the importance of keeping you informed of any developments regarding our petition. Rest assured, I will keep you abreast of any progress made and any updates regarding the deliberations by the Honors and Awards Committee.
Lastly, I want to mention that the petition is still open for signatures. Your continued support in spreading awareness and encouraging others to sign would be greatly appreciated.
Once again, thank you for your unwavering support and commitment to this cause. Together, we can work towards achieving a degree certificate that truly reflects the excellence and achievements of every UoG graduate.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to me.
