Townhouse Row has had an ongoing mice infestation since the beginning of the school year, and despite repeated concerns from students, GW has taken no meaningful action to resolve the issue. This is a clear health and safety violation. Students deserve clean, sanitary, and livable housing, especially given the high cost of on‑campus residence and tuition. We are formally requesting that the University hire a licensed exterminator to eliminate the infestation and properly seal all entry points and structural gaps that allow mice to enter our homes. Temporary or surface‑level fixes, such as setting traps, are not sufficient. We expect GW to uphold basic standards of habitability and to take immediate steps to ensure Townhouse Row is safe, clean, and compliant with health regulations.
