I’m a simple woman, with a simple vision. I believe in peace and happiness here on earth. I believe that small changes can make a big difference. I believe that they can ultimately lead to greater changes down the line that pave the way for a brighter future. I believe that if we as human beings can ban together, share a common vision, and unite as a community, we can bring about these small changes. We can bring about greater life satisfaction, inspire real change, and take our power back as people and as a community. All it takes sometimes is just one small step. This is that step. This is a petition for General Mills, owner and distributor of Gardetto’s to release a special BREADSTICK ONLY bag of Gardetto’s Original Recipe snack mix titled Gar-Bread-o’s. This bag would feature the delicious breadsticks commonly found in a regular bag of Gardetto’s, still flavored with Gardetto’s special blend of seasonings, but WITHOUT the added pretzels and rye chips mixed in. It is common knowledge to every Gardetto’s enjoyer that the breadsticks are the best part of the snack mix. They are the tastiest, have the softest and lightest texture, have just the right amount of crunch, are the perfect size and shape, and are all around superior to the other snacks mixed in. Yet for years, we’ve continued to subject ourselves to munching on (what I believe) is an unequal distribution of rye chips and pretzels that have overpowered and outnumbered the tasty tasty breadsticks. Why should we as hard working individuals have to slave away at work all day and then come home and slave away as we pick around hard, dry rye chips? Why should we have to use what little energy we have left chewing through the overly crunchy rye chips, when that energy should be better used to devour the breadsticks???? The more I think I about it, the more unsettled I become. It’s an atrocity that nothing has been done about this before. I’m horrified just thinking about it. This is why I stand here before you today, not as a hero or a leader, but as a human being. I’m a human being… just like all of you. And just like all of you, I desire change. I desire happiness. I desire peace. I can’t help but sit here and envision a brighter world for us all. And that brighter world starts with Gar-bread-o’s. Please help me bring this vision to fruition.
