The first and most important thing is to thank you for taking the time to sign the petition. A year ago, a handful of residents were told that their criticism of the traffic calming measures was of no concern and a viewpoint held only by a few. With the petition now at almost 800 signatories, the truth is that a lot of people are clearly unhappy and should not be ignored. The last phase of calming has now been installed, and so it's a prudent time to look to take it forward. The recent election changes offer us an exciting opportunity to present the petition to someone that might care and so we will keep you posted on how this develops. It has always been our view that the project was ill-conceived, badly planned, and poorly executed and so we will continue to push for an independent review.
