The Purpose of this petition is to request that the Traffic Management Working Party (TMWP) within Otford Parish Council, cease any further traffic calming measures until an independent review is conducted of the project so far.

Since its commencement in 2021, many residents have endured poorly chosen mechanisms that have been poorly installed. TMWP, along with Kent County Council, have steadfastly refused to engage with residents showing dissatisfaction with these measures. 

These controls affect not just local residents, but many others who need to cross through the village for work, education and recreation.  

Now would be a good time to review the project as it stands, before more funding is wasted on mechanisms that are unwanted and fail to deliver.
