The Issue

As a concerned student in India, I am compelled to voice my frustration and anxiety regarding the Indian education system's current state and the government's indifference to the future of millions of students across the nation. The persistent issues of inadequate educational reforms, lack of career opportunities, and deficient infrastructure are not only hampering our academic growth but are threatening our future prospects.

Reports have shown that India, despite being a rapidly developing country, is struggling to provide quality education to its burgeoning youth population. According to the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals, quality education is a cornerstone for societal progress, yet recent studies indicate that over 50% of Indian students in the fifth grade cannot read a second-grade text in their own language. This glaring educational discrepancy highlights a severe lack of investment and oversight.

Moreover, the unemployment rate among graduates remains alarmingly high, which is indicative of systemic flaws within our education-to-employment pipeline. With many students burdened by educational loans and unable to find suitable employment, we find ourselves in a crippling cycle of economic and mental stress.

As a citizen deeply concerned about these issues, I am demanding accountability from the Indian government and calling for the immediate resignation of Minister of Education, Dharmendra Pradhan. His leadership has not yielded the reforms needed to uplift the plight of Indian students. We need a visionary leader who values education and takes decisive steps to implement necessary changes.

I urge the Indian government to prioritize educational reforms and address these critical concerns by allocating sufficient funds to improve educational infrastructure, introduce skill-based training programs, and bridge the gap between academia and industry.

Sign this petition to demand urgent action from the Indian government to secure the future of its students. Let’s stand united for a better education system and a brighter tomorrow for the youth of India.
