We, the undersigned membership, express deep concerns about the lack of transparency and communication from the current Board of Directors at Fredericton Exhibition Limited since May 2022. We firmly believe that transparency, accountability, and active member involvement are crucial for the success and growth of our organization. Therefore, we request the immediate announcement and scheduling of the 2023 Annual General Meeting (AGM) to be held on or before July 31, 2023, to address these concerns and uphold these important principles.

The AGM serves as a vital platform for members to gather, discuss important matters, and actively participate in decision-making processes. It provides an opportunity to review the organization's activities, assess its financial standing, and ensure that the interests and perspectives of all members are considered and valued.

Transparency is essential in fostering trust and creating a sense of community within our organization. It enables members to stay informed, understand the organization's direction, and actively contribute to its success. The AGM is the appropriate forum to address the concerns that have arisen due to the lack of transparency and communication over the past year.

Accountability is equally important in ensuring that the Board of Directors remains responsive to the needs and expectations of the membership. The AGM serves as a mechanism to hold the Board accountable for their actions and decisions, and to establish a renewed commitment to transparency and open communication moving forward.

Considering these concerns, we formally request the following:

1.      Prompt Organization of the AGM: We urge the Executive Board to promptly schedule the AGM and provide adequate notice to all members. This will allow maximum participation and ensure that every member's voice is heard.

2.      Comprehensive Agenda and Discussion Points: We request that the AGM's agenda be inclusive, covering important topics such as a thorough review of the organization's activities, presentation of financial statements, election or re-election of board members, and any other matters of significance. We strongly encourage open and honest discussion during the meeting to address the concerns raised by the membership.
