Fellow supporters of this great cause, Over 2,100 individuals from around the world (seriously) have voiced their support in selecting Amy Poehler as the speaker for IU Bloomington's 2016 Commencement Ceremony. More importantly, over 2,100 individuals have taken the time to show their support for a crazy dream of mine by signing this petition. Thank you so much. Recall the scene in season 1 of Parks & Recreation when Knope has a conversation with Mark Brendanawicz on the feasibility of building a park on lot 48. Now, imagine the look on Leslie's face as Mark teases her by repeatedly saying "But, is it possible?" While I often share the same look of blind optimism, I truly believe in the potential of this petition. News of this petition has been featured in stories by WTHR Indianapolis, The Odyssey, and the Bloomington Herald-Times with more expected in the coming days. The commencement ceremony is free open to the public, so even if you don't currently attend IU, it is still possible to attend the 2016 ceremony should Poehler speak.
