Date A Live is my favorite anime, and it makes me sad to see how the end of season 5 was botched. Clearly, this series deserves better - it deserves a season 6 to adapt the last three volumes of the light novel.

In terms of popularity, Date A Live was one of the top shows of the season in season 5, despite big rivals such as demon slayer, my hero academia, moi quand je me reicarne en slime, konosuba, mushoku tensei still ranking among the most-watched anime every year. The series has acquired a solid base of devoted fans who look forward to a proper resolution of the plot. By ending the series in season 5, the producers left vast swathes of the story unexplored, disappointing many fans.

Despite the enormous success of the series and the obvious demand for a proper conclusion, no decision has been made to propel this much-loved tale into a sixth season. This is unfair to the fans who have invested their time and emotion in this incredible series.
