We, the residents of Key Biscayne, demand immediate action from the Village of Key Biscayne and the City of Miami to implement a dedicated resident-only lane for Key Biscayne taxpayers. This lane must be enforced at all times, ensuring uninterrupted access for residents during:

Events on Virginia Key
Major beach days and holidays
Emergency situations

The current traffic conditions have become a critical issue that puts our safety and basic rights at risk. Residents have repeatedly been trapped for hours, unable to leave during emergencies, get to the airport, or even access their own homes. This is completely unacceptable.

If someone suffers a major medical emergency, they will die before reaching a hospital because there is no way to get out. No ambulance can get through, no car can move, and Key Biscayne residents are left powerless and endangered. We cannot afford to wait for a tragedy before action is taken.

We are taxpayers. We live here. We should not be held hostage by traffic caused by events that do not serve our community.

It is time for action. We demand that Mayor Joe Rasco, take a firm stand with the City of Miami and secure a dedicated lane exclusively for Key Biscayne residents. This must happen immediately—no more delays, no more excuses.

We will not accept any further inaction. The safety and mobility of our community depend on it.
