Petition For a Recycling Program in East Greenbush Central School District

Petition For a Recycling Program in East Greenbush Central School District
The Issue
The issue:
This school district throws away so much recyclable materials that should be recycled, but are not. 80% of school waste can be recycled such as paper, plastic, glass, and cardboard. By recycling we can teach children how to properly recycle and the importance of it. In addition, it will help the environmental impact that causes global warming, and deforestation. This leads to a lot of endangered animals dying each day. It also affects my future, and future generations. I propose, each classroom and cafeteria should have recycling bins, and there should be a recycling dumpster at each school. If you agree that the school district should begin a recycling program please sign.
