CRITICAL ACTION: Town Hall Meeting on Sept. 9 at 7:30

On September 9th, there will be a resolution for a Data Center moratorium on the Town Council agenda and we need YOU and everyone you know to show up at Town Hall.

Resolution TC31-65 would adopt a two-year moratorium on any new data center within the town of Trumbull. 

This sounds like a win… BUT

• It excludes the AI Data Center that is currently under construction at 80 Merritt Blvd. 
• The AI Data Center at 80 Merritt Blvd would remain unregulated
• It does not include the Planning & Zoning Committee, who would be needed to conduct a study of AI Data Centers during the two years
• It does not provide for a joint special meeting of Town Council and Planning and Zoning to allow citizens of Trumbull and subject matter experts to inform future policy

It is critical that as many people as possible attend the Town Council Meeting on 9/9/26 and sign up for public comment. 

We welcome all thoughts, opinions, and research you wish to bring to public comment. Our recommendation is that folks also say in their comment:

• Include existing Data Centers in Resolution TC31-65
• Include a limit of 15 Megawatts for all Data Centers in Trumbull
• Have Planning & Zoning take ownership of the study during the two-year moratorium and
• Hold a joint special meeting of the Town Council and Planning & Zoning with subject-matter experts and public comment
