Over the past three decades a large portion of the Gujarati Community has settled in New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Delaware, and Pennsylvania. As many of us seek to travel to Gujarat, we face many hurdles, like expensive airline tickets and long travel times. For years we have turned to each other, saying "Wouldn't it be so much easier if there was a direct flight from Newark to Amdavad?" It is time to bring about change. Lets tell the Indian airlines and the Indian government that we need a direct flight. The benefits are limitless:

1) Cost Savings. Airline tickets will be much cheaper because a direct flight will reduces travel time, thus, reducing costs.

2) Time Savings. No lay over in Mumbai, where now you have to wait 4 to 6 hours before changing flights and going to your final destination.

3) Traveling with parents or grandparents? A direct flight will make travel much more easier on the elderly, from lowering the entire travel time to not requiring them to go through multiple security checks in Mumbai.

4) Gujarat to Newark. The benefits become two fold if we had a direct flight back to Newark as well. More time savings and cost savings.
