Dear change-makers,

Thank you all for your incredible support. We now have 9,151 signatures on our petition to cancel the state visit of the Dutch royals to Kenya!

Your commitment is truly inspiring, and we’ve received powerful messages from many of you sharing your personal reasons for supporting this cause. Whether it’s concerns over the ongoing human rights violations, the lack of accountability under President Ruto’s government, or the issues of governance, your voices are powerful and are resonating strongly.

We’ve made some progress: we’ve received a partial response from the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, but we need a full and comprehensive public statement to address the core issues raised. This is why we must keep pushing forward to ensure our message is not only heard but acted upon.

What’s Next?

As we approach the 10,000-signature mark, we are preparing to deliver the petition in person to the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the King’s Office in the Netherlands. At that point, we will physically present the petition to make sure our voices cannot be ignored.

So we need your help to get there. Please consider sharing the petition with at least ten other people through your social media networks, email, or WhatsApp. The more signatures we gather, the stronger our collective voice will be. We can ensure that the Dutch royals understand that accepting the invitation from William Ruto would be severely tone-deaf in light of the ongoing human rights abuses and other serious issues under the current government.

We’re almost there, and together we can make sure this important message is heard!

Thank you again—this would not be possible without every single one of you!
