As part of the reconstruction of the Brooks School Rd bridge over I-69, we would like for a pedestrian path over the highway be a part of this construction. The previous bridge did not have a walking/biking path and was very dangerous for many residents and children that may want to walk, run, or bike from the surrounding neighborhoods to the Hamilton Town Center.

It is really a huge travesty and waste of financial resources to rebuild the bridge without sidewalks. Many people risk their safety when walking this bridge to get to the HTC. Teens bike this way to go to the mall and/or to work. Adding a walk and connecting sidewalks to these neighborhoods would be a tremendous improvement to both safety and quality of life for the people that live in this area.

The City of Fishers itself has laid out that a "shared use path" will go along Brooks School over the highway. It doesn't make sense why wouldn't that be a part of this current construction. We ask that you reconsider the design of this new bridge to include such a path.
